BULLISH RACING HEADS TO NDRA WORLD FINALS WITH CHAMPIONSHIP AT HAND

NORWALK, Ohio (October 12, 2005) – The 2005 race season ends for Bullish Motor Racing at this coming weekend’s NOPI Ohio World Finals event at Norwalk, OH. After more than 22 races and team appearances, the Bullish Racing Team and owner/driver Ara Arslanian will end the journey the same way it began it more than 200 days ago – as World Champions. With a firm lock on the 2005 NDRA season points, Arslanian is guaranteed to retain the NDRA Pro Compact Championship Title for a third straight year. It will be the fourth consecutive year that a Bullish Racing StreetGlow-sponsored Solara has powered to the top category championship in the NDRA and the team’s fifth overall title in four years.

Still, despite the guarantee, the team will be heading to the Norwalk Raceway Park facility in search of one more victory to add to the team’s season total. For Arslanian, it will be one more chance to showcase the progress the team has made with the 2005 Turbonetics turbocharged HKS 3.4 L Stroker 2JZ engine program – the engine combination that has powered the team to a third straight year of five or more victories.

“We want to win this last one for the HKS, Turbonetics, AEM, all our other sponsors - and especially our fans. It’s certainly been the most challenging year of racing since we started more than six years ago. We’re proud of what we’ve been able to accomplish and winning the championship for a fourth straight year just speaks volumes about the hard work this team has put in every day for the past several years, so it would be nice to put just one more feather on the cap before we put the Solara in the garage.”

Arslanian will be heading into Norwalk with armed with series-best 890 points, with second place points holder Manny Cruz almost 400 points behind. While the team ended their recent homestand at the NHRA Sport Compact Finals short of an event victory, the team will bring to the Final a refined version of the tune-up that recently powered the Solara to a near-best 6.689/209.30 performance on its way to the Atco Raceway winner’s circle. The Solara’s best numbers of the year remains the 6.644/204.68 performance the car laid down at the NHRA Moroso season opener, but the team will have one more shot at topping those marks at Norwalk.

“We’re really happy with the performance we’ve been seeing from the single Turbonetics turbo combination so we definitely would like to get another XBOX cup for our shelf this year. The 6.6s we’ve run this year might not be some of the quickest ETs this year, but they are pretty amazing considering our C&F Racecars built Solara chassis, originally spec’d for low seven-second competition, is in its fourth year of competition.”

Norwalk fans will also have one more opportunity to see the team’s AEM Import Dragster – the quickest Japanese powered rail dragster in the world. As the first entrant in the NDRA’s upcoming Pro Extreme Compact category, the dragster has only run at several exhibition opportunities; but has already impressed all with a best official performance of 7.45/175 (NDRA Rockingham). Arslanian has also blasted down the track in an unofficial six-second run, and is sure the dragster is well on its way toward its goal of breaking the 5-second barrier for import-powered cars.

“Between driving the Solara and the Dragster, it will be a really fun last weekend of competition. We really are looking forward to put on one final show for the fans this year and we think everything is aligned to make Norwalk a big race for Bullish Racing fans.”
