BULLISH ANNOUNCES AEM AS TITLE PARTNER FOR IMPORT DRAGSTER
HACKENSACK, New Jersey (March 17, 2005) – Bullish Motor Racing announced leading automotive performance company Advanced Engine Management (AEM) as the title partner for the new import-powered dragster the team is unveiling this weekend. The partnership will make its debut along with the unveiling of the newly-named Bullish Racing/AEM Import Dragster at the 2005 NDRA (NOPI Drag Racing Association) season opener at Firebird Raceway, March 19-20, Phoenix, Arizona. As the title partner for the groundbreaking dragster, the AEM logo and livery will be prominently incorporated into the dragster’s paint scheme.

AEM, a leading manufacturer of aftermarket performance products - including performance intake systems, cam gears, and engine electronics - will provide technical support for the yet unrevealed dragster’s power plant.

As the first entry in the NDRA’s Pro Extreme Compact category, the dragster will be equipped with a thoroughly massaged, state-of-the-art turbocharged engine much like that used by competitors in the NDRA Pro Compact (NHRA Pro RWD) category. The Bullish team’s StreetGlow-sponsored Solara, utilizes a Turbonetics turbocharged Inline-6 engine producing in excess of 1,600 hp to cover a quarter-mile in 6.7 seconds with trap speeds in excess of 207-mph. Such a power plant bolted onto the most revered of drag racing platforms – the rail dragster - could theoretically eclipse the 5-second barrier; a feat as yet never accomplished by an import-powered dragster.
The Bullish Racing/AEM Import Dragster will be unveiled to the press and public at a press event during the NDRA season opener. While the competition debut of the dragster will be made at a later NDRA date, the paint scheme and technical details of the dragster will be revealed at Firebird. In addition to the unveiling, the Bullish Racing team will also have their 2005 specification StreetGlow-sponsored Solara on hand at Phoenix to begin the defense of their 2004 Pro Compact title as well as seek an unprecedented third-consecutive driver’s championship for Arslanian.
