2000
SEASON
The Bullish
Motor Racing team spent most of the year 2000 developing a reliable
engine program, and searching for
a clutch system able to withstand 1000 rear wheel horsepower.
Although our engine program came to fruition, the clutch type
and material that we used most of the year failed at almost every
event forcing
us out of competition. Upon receiving a triple plate carbon/carbon
clutch system from Tilton Engineering for the last NIRA event
of the year, we were able to successfully complete a weekend
of racing for the first time, and set a record performance. Considering
all of the clutch failures we experienced, Y2K was a very successful
year for BMR, as we set a world ET record for a 6-speed Supra,
and developed a race program that will prove its Bullish stance in
the 2001 race season.
